Our Story so far...

In 1982, these seven seniors went to see Mayor Hazel McCallion to request a room that elderly Filipinos could use on weekends to gather themselves. Their request was granted and to this day a room at the Mississauga Valley Community Centre would be their meeting place.

To our dear brothers and sisters in Vancouver Area,

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we mourn the lives lost at the Vancouver Lapu Lapu day festival. On behalf of the Filipino Seniors of Mississauga (FSM), together with the general Kalayaan community, we would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the families, relatives, and community members affected by this tragic event. We send our thoughts and our prayers for the complete healing and recovery of all the injured victims. We hope for everyone's recovery in the company of their respective home, families, and love ones.
